YOUR INFORMATION
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This notice explains how we use personal information when you visit tynefixworks.co.uk, contact us or request work.
Who is responsible for your information?
TyneFix Works is operated by JDirect UK. JDirect UK is the data controller for the information described here.

Information we collect
- Your name, email address, telephone number, job postcode and any address you provide.
- Your description of the work, optional photographs, preferred visit day, correspondence and cancellation requests.
- Request references, email-verification records, agreed appointment times and updates to your request.
- If you leave a voicemail: the recording, telephone numbers, call time, duration and call status.
- Technical information, including IP addresses, request times, browser information and security logs.
Please avoid including sensitive information or unnecessary details about other people in your message or photographs. Uploaded job photos are re-encoded to remove embedded metadata and are not published in a public gallery.
Why we use it and our lawful bases
We use your information to discuss the job, respond to you, verify your email, arrange and carry out agreed work, and manage changes or cancellations. Where you ask us to provide work, this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, or to perform that contract.
Our legitimate interests cover answering general enquiries, handling voicemail, securing the website and preventing misuse. We also retain information where needed to meet a legal obligation. Providing contact details is necessary for us to respond; photographs and preferred dates are optional.
Customer requests do not create an account. We send service emails, not marketing emails, through this request flow. SMS notifications are disabled. There is no AI call transcription or automated decision-making in this service.
Who receives information?
The business owner and authorised people handling your enquiry can access it. We use OVHcloud for hosting, Cloudflare for website delivery and security, Resend for service emails, and Twilio for telephone and voicemail services. Service notifications also reach the business's email inbox. We may disclose information when required by law or to establish or defend a legal claim. We do not sell your personal information.
These suppliers may process information outside the UK. International processing is covered by the applicable supplier data-processing terms and transfer safeguards, such as recognised standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum where required. You can contact us to request details of the safeguards relevant to your information.
Private links and photographs
After email verification, you receive a private link to your request. Access lasts seven days from verification. Anyone you share that link with may view the request and its photographs, so keep it private. The owner can continue to access the record after the link expires.
How long information is kept
- Email codes expire after 15 minutes. A daily cleanup removes unverified drafts and their photos once the code has been expired for at least 24 hours.
- Private customer access expires after seven days. This does not delete the request record or cancel an agreed visit.
- We keep job requests, contact messages, correspondence and photographs for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and work, related complaints or claims, and applicable legal obligations.
- Website call records are removed by daily cleanup after 180 days. Audio recordings held by Twilio are managed separately: the website cleanup does not itself delete Twilio's copy. Contact us about a recording deletion request.
- Technical logs and backup copies are retained under the server and suppliers' retention controls for security, recovery and investigation. Removed records may remain in a backup until that backup expires.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive a portable copy. These rights are subject to legal limits. Email [email protected]; we may need to verify your identity and normally respond within one month.
You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
